Where the line is
You pay to govern editing, not for the right to edit
Nothing that makes your application work sits behind a licence. If the free plan serves you forever, that is fine by us.
With e-cometa free you build the whole application and put it into production: the screens, the processes, the metadata editor and the MCP server running on your laptop, with your user and against one project.
That stops being enough once several people, or several agents, edit the model. Then you need to know who changed what, under which identity and on which project, and to limit what each of them can touch. That shared service is Pro, priced per developer because that is what it measures: how many hands are editing.
The cheaper it gets to generate screens, the more hands generate them at once, and several agents editing the same model in parallel is not a problem that solves itself: putting it in order is exactly what Pro does.
Everything in Free works today and is in production. The team service markedcoming soon is being built: the MCP server already exists and runs on your laptop, what is still to come is the shared, governed one.
